Wedding Plans

Our engagement was a happy time for us, one filled with planning and preparation. Engagement periods aren't solely romantic endeavors of bridal bliss. We shared mixed emotions of excitement, happiness, relief, and affection, coupled with stints of anxiety and uncertainty of the unknown ahead of us. And, we still quarrel on occasion, sometimes more than either of us like. After all, we've been together for a long time, but, until November 2005, we had never been married!

Even so we celebrated the special moments in our wedding planning.  Cake testing, gown fitting, and, yes, even pre-marital counseling.  For those of you engaged:  enjoy this special time!

The Special Time so goes by...
and Continues as we Grow...
Beautifully!

We understand that marriage is God's design, and his design is good. We look to God for fulfillment in our lives, believing that he created us.

We believe God is a personal God who has plans for us. We want to define our life's meaning by allowing God to transform us and to direct our plans.  In this breath, we look forward to seeing God show us his goodness as we take this next step.

We thank those who have given us love and support, prayers and wise counsel. We share enthusiasm about the future and the faith that drives us. Marriage is the riskiest thing either of us has ever done, and yet we trust it will be the best, second only to our decision to love and trust God with our lives.

Two are better than one
because they have a good return
for their labor.
For if they fall,
the one will lift up his fellow...
Again, if two lie together,
then they have warmth...
And if one prevail against him,
two shall withstand him;
a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

I can do all things
through Him who strengthens me.
~ Philippians 4:13

'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts.
